In this topic the applicant can acquire knowledge in the operation of a thermostated high-pressure cell. The temperature of the closed organic solvent or solvents filled chamber is modified and pressure data is recorded. These temperature-pressure datasets are used to calculate binary interaction parameters which can be extrapolated to carbon dioxide systems.

During the work, the applicant can learn the usage of such equipment also optionally can learn the methods to make modifications. Apart from lab work, the applicant acquires knowledge in the field of phase modelling and data evaluation. Meanwhile also getting familiar with softwers like AspenPlus.

This topic needs priori knowledge in informatics and also an intrest in phase equilibria (modells, calculation routines and etc.)
